About
Me...
In
addition to a B.S. in Family and Child Development, I am a certified
birth doula through DONA (Doulas of North America.) I am also
a certified Infant Massage Instructor through
the International Association of Infant Massage, and a retired
La Leche League Leader. I have two daughters with whom I shared
a wonderful nursing relationship.
I
have experience working with both midwives and doctors and have
attended births where women both did and did not choose to use
medications. I have had several clients who had vaginal births after cesarean (VBAC). I have experience with births that
were induced, vaginal and cesarean births, and births of first,
second, third and fourth children. I have also attended births
for subsequent children from the same family.
I work with another fabulous DONA certified doula, Lara Statile. Lara is the mother of three boys. She is an RN and was an accredited La Leche League Leader for four years. She has been a doula for nine years and is a true believer in the awesome bearty of birth.
